Can virus attacks computers by sharing a printer?
I run a small business and had 2 computers in my office. I used one computer to do all the office work like keeping record & data, letters etc and the other which is connected to internet for email, research, etc. Both computers are sharing same printer. If the computer that connected to internet get attacked by a virus, does my other computer will be attacked too?

- You should choose a full system scan to find the virus. And should regularly update antivirus. http://malware-virus-spyware-remover-tools.blogspot.com/
- Both are hooked up to both PCs then yes.
- no
- A printer only accepts data from the P.C of what to print out. I don't think a printer can accept any malicious code from one P.C and send that to another P.C. I know they like to throw the word "infection" around, but the spread of a virus is different from the spread of a common cold. :)
- Through Network yes it is possible but if they are both connected to same printer by itself then no a printer cant transfer viruses because its a hardware or accessory however you wanna call it.
- Well no since a printer can't pass malicious information unless you passed it to your other computer.
- no it will not get attacked
